Ajit K. Mandal, Co-Founder & Chief Solutions Architect – Ajit Mandal co-founded Proxient Inc. as a Management/Technology consulting firm with a major market focus on Education and Public sector industries. Since the company’s inception Proxient has provided technological expertise, services and products to several leading urban public school districts in California, County Offices of Education, State Agencies, private schools and publishing companies on multiple technology initiatives.
Ajit has established a track record in organizational leadership, management and business development. Among his strengths and skill sets are technical and process analysis including his ability to solve problems across disciplines. Ajit brings decades of combined experience in software product design, multiple software life cycle management, technology and process consulting, technical sales, project management, client management, training and teaching. He pursued graduate studies in Economics, Industrial Management and Computer Science.
In this role Ajit actively oversees all aspects of the firm’s finance, business development and technology for the organization.

Joseph Baker, Principal – has worked for over 20 years in various roles in K-12 education.. Joe has served as a teacher, district level program director, COO for an educational software company, chief technology officer, assistant superintendent and educational consultant to Districts including New York, Dallas and Los Angeles. Internationally, he and his family have helped start schools in Central America to support underserved youth in those countries. Joe joined Proxient out of an interest in helping educational organizations improve the utilization of limited resources. His role as Principal in the company focuses his efforts on providing clients with exceptional insight and support on how to implement and improve processes that ultimately lead to focusing more resources on the education of students. Joe has received awards ranging from Favorite Teacher of the Year at Woodrow Wilson in San Francisco to having programs he helped to develop honored by the Office of the President of the United States.
As a principal in the firm, Joe assists in all aspect of company operations ranging from product development to oversight of consulting and school support practices.

Dr. Volodymyr Hikovatyi , Director of Engineering – brings decades of experience in developing web, desktop and enterprise technology solutions. He has successfully led large scale teams for enterprise wide implementations and feels equally comfortable at tweaking low level operating system code to front end browser GUI. Before joining the team in 2006 Dr. Hikovatyi was the Technology Director in a heavy tool manufacturing plant where he developed systems that tracked multiple aspects of manufacturing and worker efficiency.
He is also a visiting faculty for graduate program in decision support systems.
